This policy explains what personal data PackMode collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have.

Who we are

What we collect

• Order information: name, delivery address, billing address, email address, phone number and order details.
• Payment information: processed directly by our payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
• Communications: the content of emails you send us and our replies.
• Marketing: your email address, if you subscribe.
• Website usage: device and browsing information collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To process and deliver your order, and to provide customer support - performance of a contract.
• To meet accounting, tax and consumer-law obligations - legal obligation.
• To send marketing emails - consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
• To improve our website and protect against fraud - legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers who help us run the store:

• Shopify - our ecommerce platform and hosting.
• Payment providers including Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
• Delivery partners to fulfil your order.
• Klaviyo for email marketing, where you have subscribed.
• Judge.me for product reviews, where you choose to leave one.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or adequacy decisions are in place.

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept for six years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve your query and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, request its deletion, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@packmode.co.uk

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk

Our website uses cookies to keep your basket working, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if you disable them.
